Venture Crew 39,
Lancaster's first coed Venture Crew, was formed in November 1999, and
has been very active since that time. They meet on a regular basis and
have monthly outings.
Venturing is the newest program in the Boy Scouts of America. Venture Crews are comprised of young men and young women, ages 14 through 20.
THE FOUR GOALS OF VENTURING ARE
- Experience: To gain practical experience
- Development: To engage in a program with a variety of activities to encourage the development of the whole person
- Leadership: To experience positive leadership from adult and youth leaders and be given opportunities to take on leadership roles
- Growth:
To have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive, caring and fun
environment
